14 August 2004The test focus will be to exercise and verify functionality for fill, editing, data reduction, deconvolution, and imaging of small mosaic fields. Testing will be done using Glish scripts. Users should be able to: - Install the latest version of AIPS++ - Fill the data - Edit the data - Reduce the data in a manner similar to TST1 - Image the mosaic: - Analyze the final image cube to determine RMS, peak, total flux, and - Make a 1st moment map of velocity field - Plot red and blue-shifted contours overlaid on a grey-scale image - Make nice ps files of the channel maps Datasets: --------- Process Single-field spectral line data, no single dish (defined in TST1) - this will also be a verification of the regression tests developed from TST1 scripts. This is the responsibility of the Subsystem Scientist. New data to be processed: Small multi-field mosaic(s): - BIMA SONG Galaxy CO(1-0) - NGC 4826 - VLA 7 field (linear) mosaic SiO(1-0) - NGC 1333, Source IRS 2a Testers: -------- The ALMA Offline User test will have 6 users/testers processing 2 different datasets. The Subsystem Scientist will process the 4 datasets from TST1. Testers will be: Tester Data ------ ---- Crystal Brogan VLA SiO mosaic
Carlos De Breuck BIMA SONG mosaic James Di Francesco BIMA SONG mosaic Debra Shepherd Will run TST1 scripts Rein Warmels VLA SiO mosaic Martin Zwaan VLA SiO mosaic (all data are proprietory, do NOT distribute). Testers will have 1 month to reduce and image data (15sep-15oct) following a cookbook description of the process. Each tester will fill out a questionnaire, grade tested requirements, and return the questionnaire, grades, script, and final image to D. Shepherd by 25nov04. D. Shepherd will combine all information into a final report to be completed by 15dec04.
